When did Single People Became Relationship Experts?

The “biggest mistake I made in life was to take relationship advice from a single friend, because in the end – I almost pushed him/her into the arms of another.” Those might not be your exact words, but I am sure most of you that are currently married or in a committed relationship have a friend that is always single. And half the time whenever you ask them for advice about minor issues within your relationship, they almost instantly suggest a “break up” or “time apart.” It could be something as simple as him not remembering to set your alarm clock or constantly leaving toilet seat up. That friend; the single and miserable one always suggest something that could potentially damage your relationship. But in your mind, breaking up is never an option when dealing with issues that could be solved with an apology from one or the other.

So my question to you is,When did Single People Became Relationship Experts?

A Good Man is Hard to Find, But Easy To Keep

Most single females wouldn’t hesitate to admit that they are searching for Mr. Right. In fact, at this very moment a few of them are trying to make subtle eye contact with a “handsome fellow” on the bus, train, or social event. But unfortunately, pride won’t allow them to make the first move because of the shared belief that “it is the guy‘s responsibility to approach a female.” Well, as cheesy as that might sound, that idea alone is enough to explain why a lot of females are living “man-less.”

Contrary to popular belief, all good guys are not locked up, gay, or married. In fact, majority of them are casually going about their day-to-day lives in search of a lady to love, cherish and grow old with. How do I know this? Well, take a look around you and I am sure you will see the faces of a few hopelessly romantic men attempting to make subtle eye contact.  But predictably, you wouldn’t know this on a normal day, because he doesn’t fit perfectly into the mold of what you and other single females would consider desirable. He dresses simple, takes public transportation to work every morning, reads the MeTRO news paper while commuting and isn’t surrounded by a sea of excitement. Continue reading →
