Unprofessional Nightclub Management and Their Staff

I was on the Brooklyn bound number 4 train a few days ago thinking about a topic to write about for my next Blog entry. As usual, a number of topics came to mind, but I could not narrow it down to just one. After a few minutes of debating on which topic to choose, my mind drifted to a few unpleasant experiences I had while attending dancehall events. Surprisingly, those experiences had nothing to do with over priced entrance fees or sound-men excessively using profanity. A promoter is as good as his/her last event, so if you are serious about leaving an impressionable mark – read the following Dos and Don’ts of being a party promoter. Continue reading →

Not All Webmasters Are Created Equal

PhotobucketFor those of you who may not know, a webmaster is someone that handles the day-to-day technical operation of a website. His or her primary responsibilities typically includes: responding to emails, fixing technical errors, implementing new features, updating content and making sure that members abide by the website’s terms and conditions. Those daily responsibilities complete the 24 Hours workload for most webmasters, but unfortunately some are neglecting their obligations by using their websites as a platform to spread rumors, and attempt to belittle or tarnish the reputation of partygoers, and promoters. And to make matters even more disturbing, some have resorted to threatening to inflict physical harm on people that might have rubbed them the wrong in person or over the grape vine. Behaviors like those are not only sad and upsetting, but the total opposite to what webmasters/bloggers such as myself and countless others would view as anything other than being counterproductive.
