5 Mistakes to Avoid When Promoting your Party Online

party_time_topSpamming – The quickest way to get blocked or deleted on myspace, facebook and other social networking websites is to spam your friends mailboxes and post countless bulletins. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with sending personal messages or posting bulletins – like anything else in this world that could result in an unfavorable outcome – do it with subtlety and in moderation.

Party Photographers: Pay them Fairly, On Time and In Full

photographerI came across a few popular New York based party-photography websites over the course of two weeks and to my surprise, the number one issue that they all share involves promoters not paying them fairly for their services. New York Party Promoters unite against Fashionably late partygoers

FEATURED EVENT

There isn’t really a movement by the fictitious “New York Party promoters Association” (NYPPA) to rid the dance floors of fashionably late partygoers. But over the past few months, I have seen a lot of promoters becoming more aggressive in encouraging partygoers to arrive at their event early. To accomplish this, they offer special incentives such as reduced price on entry fee, buy one get one half off liquor deals or simple hold up an home-made sign that reads “please come to my party early.” Although those promotional tactics makes perfect business sense, promoters are still finding it difficult to make a living with the heavy hand of the NYPD resting comfortably on the “event off switch.” So to all the partygoers out there that are notorious for arriving at dancehall events between the hours of 2am – 4am; support your party promoters by arriving a few hours earlier.
